Walks the way
your dog
likes them.
Solo, duo, or three at most. Lead-on first, off-lead when I've earned it. A photo and a short note before I leave.
A walk should look like the dog wants.
Some need a sniff-fest. Some want to trot. A few want to chase a ball until they collapse. I match the walk to the dog - not the other way round.
Riverside on hot days, village streets when it's icy. Solo if they're anxious, group if they'd rather have friends. I never take more than three small dogs at once.

who ask.
“My dog is reactive on the lead.”
Then you want a solo walk — just me and them. We pick quiet routes and work at their pace, not mine. I've got plenty of regulars who started out lunging at every cyclist.
“She's older now, doesn't do far.”
A thirty-minute amble it is. Older dogs are some of my favourite regulars — slow walks, plenty of sniffing, home before they're tired.
“He pulls like a train.”
I walk in flat collars and harnesses, not slip leads. We work on it gently as we go — no quick fixes, just consistency.
“He's nervous around other dogs.”
Solo walks only, then. I plan the route to dodge the busy spots. I never take a nervous dog into a group walk to "socialise" them — that's not how it works.
Five villages
on the route.

Riverside loops past Shepperton Lock, off-lead time on Manor Park and gentle pavement strolls through the village.

Walks along the Thames Path, lead-on routes through the conservation area and shaded loops in Kempton Nature Reserve.
Staines
Lammas Park sniffs, riverside benches and a careful approach to the busier town-centre crossings.

Quiet residential routes, Ashford Common loops and the Queen Mary Reservoir paths on calmer days.
Laleham
Open meadow at Laleham Park, river views and the kind of slow village walks small dogs adore.
